Mullen's Herbal Tea House
Barre, MA
Visited: July, 2003

The Mullen's Tea House is, by far, the best tea I've ever attended, in the US or abroad. The attention to detail is superb, from the cinnamon-rimmed iced tea glasses to the homegrown edible flowers that accompany each dish.

Tour Our Shop

This is the entrance to the Teahouse, the door is
to the left of this display; and there are stairs to the right that bring you up to more rooms where you can either shop or relax with the most amazing massage....You'll never want to leave    :-)

Here are all the wonderful assorted gifts she sells on that display.

This is our main room for our afternoon themed teas and private functions.  You'll enjoy our calm and enchanted atmosphere, where you can sit back, sip on some of our many teas, and let the pampering begin...

Here are some of our tables that you see when you first walk into the teahouse, to the left is where you can sit out on our porch.. The tables are beautifully decorated with each themed tea or private function... The tables here are decorated for our Lilac & Lemon Balm (herb of 2007) 5 course herbal tea luncheon which was held on May 18th at 12:30 pm.. To view this or all of our menus go to our Menus  page or click on this link..

Here is another beautiful display with items for sale next to more of her many teas that she has in stock which can be purchased and if needed packed and shipped at any time.   This display is to the right of the doors that lead to the porch.

Here is the view from behind the green hutch where another table for seating is located...

Here is a view, of part of the main room coming from the porch...

Here,  I am looking at the other end of the main room just outside of the porch which is to the right of me, near the green hutch (which is displayed above)

This is our bay window table for two (or three if needed).  This table has a wonderful view over looking a flowering tree that in the spring and summer is covered with beautiful blooming  flowers, and in the winter catches all the snowflakes that the sky has to offer.  If that is not enough along with her items for sale on the bay window like jewelry, books teapots, teacups, she has added a delicate and soothing teapot waterfall that pours into tiny teacups.  No wonder our teas sell out quick!!!

Here is yet another display with many beautiful gift items for sale.  We have the widest selections of teas and tea accessories, if we don't have what your looking for we can get it ,,, just ask us!!!!

Across the room is her main display that has many of her teas, jellies, and jams that she uses during her teas that are also for sale, so that the fun doesn't have to end here.  You can take them  home with you to share your experience with loved ones and friends or keep them  just for yourself !!!

Welcome to our newest addition,,,, the Tea Cozy,,,,Here is where most of our teas and tea accessories are located,,, oopps but don't ask to buy the watermelon, I just put it down real quick to take this picture...But if you want to enjoy our food check out our calendar (by either clicking on the link or going to our Calendar page) to see when our next upcoming tea is and be sure to call or mail us for reservations, cause we sell out very quick!!!

This is just some of our teas and gifts that we have for sale out here in the Tea Cozy..  The Tea Cozy is covered wall to wall with many different gift items.

Our tea plants are just one example of our different gift items that we have for sale, these are just $12.50.  Can you believe that, for just $12.50 you can make and serve your very own tea.  You can make it black, green, white it depends on you!!!

This is the end section of our Tea Cozy which leads to our Primitive barn (currently closed for renovations but coming in the fall of 2007 it will be our Jed's General Store)

And of course we can't forget about the kids.  Here is a section dedicated especially for them, with our little scented bears dipped in wax, a nice way to keep a room smelling wonderful.  We also teas, teapots and teacups and many more items for them to choose from ....

This is one section of our porch we also have many gifts for sale that you'll just love....

This is Jersey just one of our many black dolls for sale here and soon more to come on Maggie's Olde Thyme Primitives page.  Be sure to check it out from time to time to see all the new stuff we are adding, you can do that by either clicking on the link to by going to our Maggie's Olde Thyme Primitives page!!!!

Next to Jersey is Erma Dell, now how can you not want to take her home...Look at her sitting all cute in her candle lamp filled with primitive bowl fillers, she would make a beautiful accent to any home!!!!

Here's our porch hutch with the rest of the gang Reno, Ruie, Bitsy, Basil, Gilbert, Emmitt, and Earlene and other items we have for sale.

Here is a view of the porch from the other end, it a nice place where people like to come and eat during the summer and watch the people go by and smell the fresh scents of all the flowers and trees in bloom.

This is the other end of the porch, I am standing by the hutch taking this picture.. Isn't this just cozy. When you eat here you feel like its home but you don't have to lift a finger we do all the work for you!!!!

Here are some items that we use during our teas that we have for sale like our dips in a pail with a shovel how cute! Down below are Make your own lemon aid kits for the kids, my daughter Krimson got one from grammy Judy and she just loves it, can't wait to go and sell it down at the teahouse with some lemon balm, mint from the garden and fresh fruit!!!

Across from that is another display with gifts for sale, like the popular garden cards.  You can actually plant the card after your done with it and grow plants!!!

Well we hope you enjoyed your tour, for all of those who haven't been please come join us for tea at one of our upcoming teas and for those who are old and dear friends see you when we meet again...Till then have a safe and fun filled summer.. Happy sippings...
